Sean Batir

Sean Batir is a PhD Candidate rotating in the laboratory of Rafael Yuste in the Department of Biological Sciences and Coordinator for the NeuroTechnology Center (NTC) at Columbia University. He is responsible for organizing the annual Kavli Futures Symposium, and is the cofounder of LENS Inc, an augmented reality startup based in Palo Alto developing contact lens capable of pushing text to a user’s field of view. He previously completed his M.Res in Bioengineering at the Imperial College of London, examining novel machine learning approaches for signal classification, and completed his undergraduate study at MIT.
